![]() In Nomad 1.4, you can store encrypted configuration values at file-like paths directly in Nomad. However, this involves standing up and running separate services alongside Nomad. Nomad has a template block to provide such configuration to tasks but has previously stored configuration values in external services such as HashiCorp Consul and HashiCorp Vault. Many Nomad workloads require secrets or configuration parameters. Let’s take a look at what’s new in Nomad and the Nomad ecosystem: It is widely adopted and used in production by organizations such as Cloudflare, Roblox, Q2, and Pandora. Nomad works across on-premises and cloud environments. Nomad is a simple and flexible orchestrator used to deploy and manage containers and non-containerized applications. A Leica that has mostly sat in someone's bag is not necessarily the best buy, just as with automobiles average mileage is probably better, for the same reason: continual distribution of lubrication. We are excited to announce HashiCorp Nomad 1.4 is now generally available. Later TTLs also have a revised shutter curtain where the white metering spot is laminated rather than painted, and also a smoother, shinier pressure plate (identifiable by a recessed screw at each corner).Īs users, more importance might best be placed on the condition of the camera than the exact model. I don't agree with the value judgment but admit that couple millimeters is more noticable than I'd have expected.įinally, the last of the TTLs had brass top plates, and internally there is a "dummy" protrusion in the cassette well (where DX contacts go in the M7)that intereferes with mounting some of the earlier motor winders unless a small part is filed off the winder base. And some feel that small amount of height changed the look of the cameras for the worse. Shoe-mounted viewfinders will have a little bit more parallax. I'll add that the TTL is a couple millimeters taller so the standard prism finder of a Visoflex-II and the goggled lenses with a tab meant to rest on the top plate (can be removed)will not fit. So far everyone (well, except Jeffrey) has given correct and helpful answers. This is all from my memory from much reading on this site over the years, and I suggest you confirm what I've said in the forum archives. #TTL MODELS IN FORUM PATCH#Thus, the M6 classic very much represents the essential priorities of the current MP and lacks very little for consideration except the improved somewhatless glaring rangefinder patch of the current MP. Its interesting that the current Leica MP body does not have TTL flash because it represents their current "purist" model to contrast the M7. ![]() I don't personally feel that any of these differences are much significant unless you intend to use a 90mm or 135mm a lot, in which case TTL flash would be a real benefit as opposed to auto-thyristor type flashes. The earliest classics (about 1986?) were made in Wetzlar (very few) whereas all later classics and TTL models are made in Solms. M6 "classic" is the designation used by resellers and used equipment stores for pre-TTL flash models, and I don't think Leica ever actually designated the camera as "classic." I think there is also a difference in the metering LEDs in that early "classic" models featured two arrows that have equal illumination when you have correct exposure while later models have a third central LED that illuminates when you have correct exposure, and this approach was carried over to the TTL model. Also, as expected with TTL flash (which is essentially all that the TTL designation on the M6 TTL means) the hot shoe has additional contacts instead of the old standard of one, which may promote people to only feel they can safely use the Leica or perhaps a Metz flash with the correct dedicated shoe on an M6 TTL, which would make sense to have that TTL capability, but I enjoy using about any flash I want in auto mode on my M6 "classic". Also Peter, as I understand it, if the battery dies in an M6 TTL, the hot shoe is no longer hot and won't trigger a flash because of the TTL circuit. ![]()
